Waiting to Go Outside -Sara

“It’s raining outside again,” said Sophia. It had been raining for the past three days. Sophia and her brother, Noah, wanted to play outside. They were home alone, so they needed something to eat. They had nothing but a lemon. The lemon was a very bright yellow. Sophia peeled the lemon gingerly. However, it squirted. “I want to go outside!” screamed Noah. “Noah, be quiet. The neighbors will here you,” replied Sophia. Soon, they were outside after they discovered that it was sunny. It was a remarkable day to  be outside. Then Mandy, there mom came home. It had been a great day.

  1. Hi, Sara.

The rain seems to ruin all of the fun! Or does it?

Remember when the children from “The Cat in the Hat” were inside all day, and they had an adventure? I bet Sophia and Noah could have an amazing adventure with some of your great imagination.

Don’t be afraid to take risks in your writing. Pretend YOU are the main character(s). What would you do to have some fun? Let your imagination take you far away……..and write, write, write!

Sam-I-Am did not know he LIKED the “Green Eggs and Ham” until he TRIED them!
